Ex Leader of ONLF Mohamed Omar Osman is attempting to sell a corrupted reputation he had not deserved from the Ogaden struggle against Ethiopia. He was hiding all the Somali media since last January 2009, while he had killed in an assassination action Dr. Mohamed Sirad Dolal a top leader of ONLF-Supreme.

Osman and Dr. Dolal were political enemies for some years due to the Osman’s dictatorial role and misled of ONLF Policy, but Osman had taken unexpected action by deploying his special tribal men’s to terminate the life of his rivalry. At time of killing Dr. Dolal was in visit at Ogaden soil to be witnessed the atrocity and genocide Ethiopian regime conducted in 2007/8.

It was not easy killing Dr. Dolal, but Osman paid high price that not yet known, because Dolal was the philosopher run the ONLF policy and mobiliser of the Ogadenis, people of Ogaden had trusted him for his long serving the ONLF organization with honest.   Dr. Dolal’s death people of Ogaden were reacted angrily and blamed Osman undermining the struggle ONLF that wants self-determination for the Somalis in Ogaden region of Ethiopia.

Osman and his fellowship had never spoken publicly about the death of Dr. Dolal, that silence was brought in very angry atmosphere and gloomy with distrust, particularly those interested in the struggle of Ogaden. It was the first time in ONLF history a well known official person of the organisation ignored his death and up till now nobody could understand the reason.

Since then, the ONLF movement shuttered down and lost lot of supporters and Dr. Dolal’s fellowship function had broke away from Osman’s leadership of ONLF, the new function had reorganised its members and acquired strong supporters.  Osman was kept silence nearly nine months and stopped all his activities to attend the public sessions, Ogaden communities in the western countries lost the gratitude connection with the communities due to the distrust among the community.

Osman, was trapped in Eritrea for four months for interrogation of the Eritrean security forces, because Eritrea was in suspension articles written international papers about the link between Osman and Ethiopian security forces by cooperated killing Dr. Dolal. Osman got illness activated psychological distress caused by the local media those published in thousand of articles about him and how he deceived the struggle by batting finance from Ethiopia and Eritrea.

English paper of International Alsharq Alawast interviewed Osman for the first time a year, Osman was looking like weak and immoral about the questions although he came by his foot at studio without support. During interview Osman was claimed that the Ogaden people are Arabs, and they need Arab support, the constitution of the organization never mention about being Arabs. There is no doubt the Ogaden people are Somalis origins and Somalia was becoming a member of Arab Union at Siad Bare’s rule in early 1970s.

The newspaper gave a plant of time to Mr. Osman to explain the current political situation of Onlf and the internal turmoil conflict in the Organization, but he could not be able explain exactly any policy follow the organization neither internal conflict. Osman was not known this way at interviews, but maybe he was hiding his weakness, immoral and lack of motivation and dishonest, he used to manage the organization.

The International Somali Universal TV interviewed with Osman two weeks later after Alsharq Alawast, this time interview was questions asked the public.
We heard that 300 people were waited on the phone to ask him question, unfortunately 7 people only got chance to ask him question.
The first question was asked a person from the public, are you really a general secretary of ONLF or you are claiming false? His answer was “who is this man, do I know him”.

.The interviewer felt shame for Osman and passed answers for the questions asked angry public by saying maybe are one of the supporters. The second question being asked was. What do you know about the killing of Dr. Dolal? He got confuses and could not reply either this question. The interviewer was cleaver and manipulated to keep running the interview by talking about himself the struggle of Onlf.

Then, again public was given a chance by asking questions Osman that was the main objective of the interview and interviewer gave the line the wife of Dr. Dolal, as Osmans heard the name got a shock and started shaking.
Lady Dolal, asked him very calmly serious question by saying I know it and everybody in Ogaden known it you killed my husband, can you tell me where you buried his body?. Osman was kept silent and could not be able to look at an interviewer.

Anybody who got a chance to watch Omar Osman’s interview with Universal TV, could precisely understand psychological body mode of Osman. Obviously, he was the killer of Dr. Dolal and many people who had doubted whether Osman behind the death of a late leader of ONLF-supreme council Dr. Mohamed Sirad Dolal now realized the truth.
